Eximprod, the group of companies that provides a comprehensive portfolio of equipment, solutions, and services in the energy sector, is relocating its office from Bucharest to the Equilibrium 2 building, part of the Equilibrium complex developed by Skanska in the Northern area of the Capital.

For its operations, Eximprod has leased, advised by CBRE Romania, a 1300sqm space, an office where it will bring its team in the second quarter of 2024.

Equilibrium

Eximprod is a group of companies with Romanian capital, characterized by stability, flexibility, and seriousness. Eximprod's mission is to contribute to a sustainable energy future through solutions and equipment developed with responsibility and passion, ensuring access to energy in a safe and affordable manner. Eximprod has a dedicated and innovative team. Founded in 1994, the Eximprod company, headquartered in Buzau, has continuously invested in production capacities, distribution automation systems, and the development of new products, solutions, and services in the energy sector.

"The relocation of our headquarters represents a strategic decision and comes in the context of the growth of our team in Bucharest and our commitment to providing an optimal working environment for our staff. We believe that the partnership with Skanska, recommended by CBRE Romania, is the best option, and the Equilibrium 2 building is designed to meet our needs for expansion and development, providing a modern and efficient workspace while adhering to ESG principles," mentions Dragoș Vasile, Board Member of Eximprod.

"Sustainability, trust, and progress – these are the key elements underlying the partnership between Eximprod Group and Skanska. The healthy development of Romanian companies and the fact that these organizations choose to expand into newly developed office buildings with a strong focus on ESG principles can only bring us joy and confirm that a sustainable business can only evolve," states Tamara Guleryuz, Leasing & Asset Manager for the commercial development division at Skanska CEE.

The transaction was facilitated with the support of CBRE, which advised the Eximprod team in a process that lasted for 3 months.

"I am delighted to have supported Eximprod in their transition to a new space in Equilibrium. The choice to relocate to a modern, Class A building was decisively driven by their commitment to energy efficiency and ESG principles. The chosen area provides excellent facilities for employees, proximity to a metro station, and easy access to the highway towards Ploiești, an essential criterion, considering that Eximprod's headquarters is in Buzău," added Anca Păuna, Senior Consultant A&T Services Office at CBRE Romania.

The Equilibrium office complex, consisting of two buildings, has become a reference point in the Northern area of the Capital, redefining both workspaces and the environment. On one hand, it offers an entirely different aesthetic perspective on the area, and on the other hand, it provides a green space of 3,500 square meters accessible to the entire community. The sustainable solutions implemented in the project have a positive impact on energy, water, and electricity consumption reductions, while the design focused on flexibility is at the core of the entire complex.

The LEED Platinum certifications, Acces4you Silver, and the Net Zero Carbon Building pre-certification for the Equilibrium 2 building confirm how the project is built with special attention to the comfort, safety, and health of residents and users.

Indeed, the most important aspect of certifying a green building is the reduction of operating costs throughout its lifespan. With the LEED Platinum certification, Equilibrium 2 consumes 43% less water and 37% less energy annually.

Additionally, Equilibrium 2 is the first building in Romania undergoing WiredScore certification and has achieved the highest level of Access4you certification in Romania, Access4you Silver. This rating is a recognition that the project developed by Skanska meets the accessibility needs of wheelchair users, individuals with specific mobility needs, those with baby strollers, individuals with visual impairments, those with hearing impairments, and individuals with cognitive impairments.

According to the National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as of March 2023, over 75,000 people with various disabilities resided in Bucharest, in addition to the elderly who often require facilities to ease their mobility. Being the only building in Romania certified Access4you Silver, Equilibrium 2 becomes an accessible area for a significant number of people with special needs.
