The new Springleaf Financial office building broke ground in October 2007 on an ancillary facility across the street from its current Evansville, Indiana, headquarters. This 170,000 square-foot, four-story office building is Evansville's first LEED Gold Certified building. The building's facade is comprised of a curtain-wall system with integrated metal panels surrounded by a limestone band. The building utilizes access flooring with integrated under-floor displacement ventilation, as well as daylight harvesting and a lighting management system with dimming controls. The overall floor layouts consist of open-plan offices around the perimeter, with a center core containing restrooms, small offices, coffee bar areas, and elevators. There are four conference rooms, one at each corner of the building, on every floor, as well as executive conference rooms on both the third and fourth floors. The new facility is connected to the existing headquarters by a pedestrian walkway.
