Constructing the project

“Cook+Fox Architects created a healthy, modern workplace that showcases Skanska’s dedication to sustainability and setting a standard for environmentally responsible, economical design. An open plan office design emphasizes daylight and efficient ventilation by capturing the inherent functionality of the Empire State Building, originally designed as a daylit office. The coffered ceilings are exposed and an efficient raised floor mechanical system delivers highly filtered air replacing overhead ducts. The plan uses the cardinal directions as the main orienting concept, allowing the configuration of the building core to capture views to daylight in all four directions from the center of the plan.”
