The seven-story Hilton Hotel, built in the immediate vicinity of the international terminal of Helsinki-Vantaa airport, is one of the landmarks of the whole airport area. There is an excellent view to the runways. The distance between the international terminal and the hotel is less than one hundred meters, and a covered corridor connects the two buildings, which makes it very convenient for guests.
The hotel comprises 246 rooms, a 220-seat restaurant and a lobby bar, a ballroom for 350 persons, 9 adaptable conference rooms, and a gym. Doos Arkitekter Ab, a Swedish designer company, was responsible for the interior design.
The building has a total of 17 000 gross square meters of space and parking facilities for a hundred cars.
Skanska also implemented the extension of the hotel, which comprised 84 new hotel rooms and 400 sq meters of conference rooms and restaurant premises. After the completion, the hotel has 330 rooms.
