Skanska served as the general contractor for Pier 1's 11,000-SF, retail tenant fit-out. Our team worked with the documents in the early stages to provide budgeting and square foot cost analysis. We worked with local architecture firm Davis Carter Scott to develop a permit set of documents based off the program documents. This early involvement enabled Skanska to work closely with Pier 1 vendors to assure the procurement of long-lead items, such as mechanical units, custom doors, custom door pulls, exterior signage and conveying systems. This effort allowed a smooth transition into the new space for Pier 1, and the store opened on time.
