Skanska provided construction management and design-build services for this confidential pharmaceutical client. Skanska was responsible for 170 projects per year. The projects ranged in costs from $50,000 to $10 million, with total costs of approximately $80 million per year. Project scopes included biopharmaceutical manufacturing, research and development, laboratory remodels, site amenities, facilities infrastructure and office remodels. Project assignments included providing project management services such as design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and validation services. Skanska’s work included manufacturing plant operations, including cGMP warehouse, lyophilizer suite, clinical packaging suite, cell banking/LN2 freezer farm, and cGMP virus labs.
